Our mission is to engage vulnerable populations by providing low-barrier, participant-centered care and services in the Portland metro area through an interprofessional, student-led clinic.
Student-run free clinics have a long history of providing care to meet the health needs of underserved populations, while enriching students’ professional education.
With this in mind, students from Portland State University (PSU), Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU), and Oregon State University (OSU) have joined forces with Transition Projects (TPI) to take student-run free clinics to a new level of inter-professional innovation by launching Bridges Collaborative Care Clinic (BCCC). Including multiple disciplines from the start is what makes this effort unique; although many other student-run free clinics have developed into inter-professional organizations, they have not started as such.
Services Offered
Bridges Collaborative Care Clinic (BCCC) is a free, student-run clinic that provides health and social services that are participant-centered, and utilize a trauma-informed approach.
Affiliated Programs
Bridges Collaborative Care Clinic uses a inter-disciplinary approach, offering participants a unique experience where medical, dental, nursing, pharmaceutical, public health, community health, social work, and counseling student knowledge come together to provide participants with a more holistic approach to care.
